2. Eligibility

You must provide accurate and complete information when ordering or using our services.

You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide, including your name, email address, telephone number, domain information and billing information, remains accurate and up to date.

If you purchase a service on behalf of a business or organization, you confirm that you have the authority to do so.

3. Hosting Services

Hosting plans are provided according to the specific resources, features and limitations stated for the plan purchased.

Depending on the plan, resources may include:

  • Disk/storage space
  • Monthly bandwidth
  • Email accounts
  • Databases
  • FTP accounts
  • Subdomains
  • Addon domains
  • cPanel access
  • WordPress compatibility
  • SSL
  • Other features stated on the relevant hosting package

Not every resource is unlimited.

The limits applicable to your account are those stated for your specific hosting package at the time of purchase, subject to reasonable changes communicated by us.

You must not use your hosting account in a manner that negatively affects the stability, security or performance of our servers or other customers’ services.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use 1HostAfrica services for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or malicious activities.

You may not use our services to:

  • Distribute malware, viruses or malicious software
  • Conduct phishing or credential theft
  • Engage in hacking or unauthorized access
  • Host content that violates applicable law
  • Conduct fraudulent activities
  • Send unsolicited bulk email or spam
  • Operate activities designed to disrupt our infrastructure
  • Store or distribute materials that you do not have the legal right to use
  • Infringe intellectual-property rights
  • Attempt to bypass security controls
  • Abuse server resources
  • Conduct activities that put other customers, our infrastructure or third parties at unreasonable risk

We may investigate suspected abuse and may suspend or restrict services where reasonably necessary to protect our infrastructure, customers or comply with applicable law.

Where appropriate, we will notify the customer and provide an opportunity to resolve the issue.

5. Customer Content

You remain responsible for content, files, databases, emails, images, software, websites and other materials uploaded or published through your account.

You represent that you have the necessary rights and permissions to use content you upload to our services.

1HostAfrica does not claim ownership of your website content merely because we host or technically manage it.

You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of your important files and website content.

6. Website Design and Development

Where you purchase website design or development services, the scope of work will be determined by the package, quotation, proposal or agreement applicable to your purchase.

Website projects may include:

  • Template installation
  • Template customization
  • Website pages
  • WordPress configuration
  • Domain and hosting setup
  • Custom design
  • Custom functionality
  • Other agreed services

Features outside the agreed scope may attract additional charges.

Where a project requires information, content, images, branding materials, access credentials or approvals from the customer, delays in receiving those materials may affect the project timeline.

7. Template-Based Website Packages

Where a package includes template installation, the service generally involves installing and configuring an existing website template or theme.

Template-based packages do not automatically include unlimited customization or custom development.

Third-party themes, plugins, images, fonts, software and other resources may be subject to their respective licenses and terms.

Where a third-party license is required, the customer may be responsible for purchasing or maintaining that license unless expressly included in the package.

8. Custom Websites

Custom website services are based on the requirements agreed with the customer.

The final price, scope, number of pages, functionality, integrations, revisions and delivery requirements may vary depending on the project.

Additional requirements introduced after approval of the original scope may require additional fees and/or time.

9. Physical Website Launch Frame

Where a package specifically includes a physical Website Launch Frame, the frame is supplied according to the specifications agreed for that package.

The physical frame is an additional tangible component of the website service and does not replace the digital website itself.

Production and delivery timelines may vary depending on location, production requirements and third-party logistics.

10. Domain Names

Domain registration is subject to the rules and availability of the relevant domain registry or registrar.

Payment for a domain does not guarantee registration if the requested domain is unavailable or otherwise cannot be registered.

Where possible, we may assist with domain registration, renewal or transfer.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that domain registration information is accurate.

Domain renewals must be paid before the applicable expiration deadline to avoid interruption or loss of the domain.

Domain names may be subject to separate registry policies and terms.

11. Payments

Services must be paid for according to the applicable price displayed on our website, invoice, quotation or service agreement.

Prices may change from time to time, but changes will not ordinarily affect services already paid for during an active paid term unless otherwise required by law or the applicable service agreement.

For custom projects, payment milestones may apply.

Where a deposit is required, work may not begin until the required deposit has been received.

12. Annual Hosting Plans

Where an annual hosting option is advertised as providing two months free, the annual price represents payment for twelve months of service at the stated annual promotional price.

Annual plans are prepaid.

Unless otherwise stated, an annual promotional price does not mean that the customer receives twelve paid months plus two additional months; the promotional benefit is reflected in the annual price.

13. Service Suspension

We may temporarily suspend a service where reasonably necessary because of:

  • Non-payment
  • Security concerns
  • Abuse
  • Violation of these Terms
  • Excessive or harmful resource usage
  • Fraudulent activity
  • Legal or regulatory requirements
  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

Where practical, we will notify customers before suspension and provide an opportunity to resolve the issue.

14. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation and refund eligibility depends on the type of service purchased and the circumstances of the cancellation.

Because certain services involve immediate costs to third parties, including domain registration, licenses, infrastructure and other third-party services, such costs may not always be recoverable.

Where a service has already been substantially delivered, completed or activated, the amount refundable may be limited.

Nothing in this section is intended to remove any consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Nigerian law.

Any specific refund terms stated on an invoice, quotation, order page or service agreement will also apply.

15. Third-Party Services

Some services may depend on third-party providers, including:

  • Domain registries
  • Payment processors
  • Hosting infrastructure providers
  • Software developers
  • WordPress themes and plugins
  • Email providers
  • Internet service providers
  • Delivery or logistics providers

We are not responsible for failures caused solely by third-party providers that are outside our reasonable control.

Where a third-party service is required for your project, we may communicate the applicable third-party terms or requirements.

16. Backups

Customers should maintain independent backups of important website files, databases and other content.

Although backups may be performed as part of our infrastructure or service arrangements where applicable, we do not guarantee that every file, database, email or website version can always be restored.

For critical websites, customers should maintain an independent backup.

17. Service Availability

We aim to provide reliable services, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or completely error-free availability.

Service interruptions may occur because of:

  • Maintenance
  • Hardware or software failures
  • Network problems
  • Security incidents
  • Third-party provider failures
  • Internet infrastructure problems
  • Government or regulatory actions
  • Events beyond our reasonable control

We will take reasonable steps to restore affected services.

18. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • 1HostAfrica and Miracle Seriki Digitals retain rights in their own branding, systems, materials and intellectual property.
  • Customers retain ownership of their original content and materials.
  • Third-party themes, plugins, software, fonts, images and other assets remain subject to their respective licenses.

Customers must not copy, resell or redistribute proprietary materials belonging to 1HostAfrica or Miracle Seriki Digitals without permission.

19. Customer Responsibility for Credentials

Customers are responsible for keeping their passwords, hosting credentials, WordPress administrator credentials, email passwords and other account information confidential.

You should not share administrative credentials unnecessarily.

If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us as soon as possible.

20. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, 1HostAfrica and Miracle Seriki Digitals will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use or inability to use our services.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability where such exclusion or limitation would be unlawful.

We do not guarantee that use of our services will result in a specific level of:

  • Revenue
  • Sales
  • Website traffic
  • Search-engine ranking
  • Leads
  • Business growth
  • Conversion rate

Website and digital services provide infrastructure and implementation; business results may depend on many factors outside our control.

21. Changes to Services

We may modify, improve, replace or discontinue features of our services from time to time.

Where a material change substantially affects an active paid service, we will take reasonable steps to communicate the change where appropriate.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

The updated version will be published on this website with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Your continued use of our services after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.

23. Complaints and Support

If you have a complaint or concern regarding a service, please contact 1HostAfrica through our official support channels.

We encourage customers to contact us first so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.

24. Governing Law

These Terms shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, subject to any mandatory consumer or other legal rights that apply to you.
